The Cowboys made a couple of roster moves ahead of Saturday night’s game against the Lions.
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rashaan Evans was reportedly arrested on Wednesday, leading the team to make a roster move. Evans will be without a job likely for the rest of the year after the team cut him from the roster.
Evans was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana in the city of Frisco, TX — where the Cowboys practice on a daily basis.
Evans is now set to become a free agent and will have to look for another opportunity with a different team.
Evans signed with Dallas’ practice squad after Leighton Vander Esch was placed on injured reserve. The former first-round pick sometimes showed flashes but struggled for playing time.
The Eagles’ 33-25 win over the Giants gave them a one-game lead over the Cowboys with two games remaining in the regular season.
