Brandin Cooks has been passed around the league quite a few times in his career.
He was on the move again this offseason after the Dallas Cowboys acquired the veteran wide receiver from the Texans in exchange for a 2023 fifth-round pick and a 2024 sixth-round pick.
It’s not a big surprise that Cooks was traded again. There was tension between him and Houston last season, as Cooks thought he was going to be dealt with in advance of the 2022 NFL trade deadline.
Cooks has been traded four times during his career and somehow, the veteran WR is still in his 20s.

Cooks began his career with the Saints before being traded to the Patriots and then the Rams. From there, he was dealt to the Texans. Now, after a few seasons in Houston, Cooks will be making a home in Dallas and playing for his fifth different NFL club.
His four trades are tied for the most in NFL history with two other players.
Cooks will make NFL history if he is able to play for the Cowboys during the 2023 season because the other two players never played a down for the fourth team to which they were traded.
During the early stages of his career, Cooks was viewed as a premium, No. 1-type receiver. He was No. 1 in Houston, but now he is going to a team where CeeDee Lamb is the man.
