The Dallas Cowboys will kick off their 2024 regular season in just 23 days, when they travel to Forest City to take on the Cleveland Browns at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
In January, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones stated that his team would have an “all-in” approach to the offseason. Fast-forward eight months, however, and the Cowboys have yet to make a single blockbuster trade or free agent signing.
Dallas has seen several key contributors from 2023 depart this offseason, including Pro Bowl offensive linemen Tyron Smith and Tyler Biadasz, two-time 1,000-yard rusher Tony Pollard, cornerback Stephon Gilmore and defensive linemen Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler Jr.
But it’s not too late for Jones to get aggressive and make some “all-in” moves with the 2024 NFL season less than a month away. With teams needing to finalize their 53-man rosters, Dallas should find quality value on the trade market.

The Dallas Cowboys especially need a capable No. 2 wide receiver to help superstar CeeDee Lamb if they’re to get over the hump this year. And perhaps the Kansas City Chiefs, who have a logjam at WR, would be willing to lend a hand.

More specifically, third-year wide receiver Skyy Moore is the ideal trade target for Dallas.
Kansas City signed former 1,000-yard wide receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown in free agency before using their first-round pick on Texas speedster Xavier Worthy. Throw in second-year wideout Rashee Rice and All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce, and it’s clear that 2022 second-round pick Skyy Mooe doesn’t have a long-term future in Kansas City.
Moore would immediately compete with Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert for the WR2 job. With less competition in the Cowboys’ pass-catching room, Moore would be in a good spot to hit his ceiling in Dallas.
What Cowboys Should Offer Chiefs For Skyy Moore
Moore may be a former 2022 second-round pick, but he only has 43 receptions for 494 yards and one touchdown over his first two seasons. He has a high ceiling, but the limited production thus far means Dallas would probably be able to get Moore for something along the lines of a 2025 fourth-round pick.
