The NFC East division has some of the most intense rivalries in the NFL and it’s not just regulated to the field.
It has officially been a week since Dan Quinn left the Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator position to become the head coach of the Washington Commanders, and the team is not trying to lose anybody else to their division rival.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Washington wanted to interview Cowboys tight ends coach Lunda Wells for their offensive line position, but Dallas blocked the request.
On Thursday, the team wanted to also interview defensive backs coach Al Harris but the Cowboys blocked them again.
It wasn’t all bad as they did allow Washington to speak with Sharrif Floyd and Pete Ohnegian.

Harris has drawn consideration for the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator post, but they have since interviewed bigger names. Ron Rivera, Mike Zimmer, and Rex Ryan have met with the team about its defensive play-calling gig.
The NFL has moved to prevent teams from blocking staffers at moves to the coordinator ranks in recent years, but clubs can still prevent assistants under contract from making lateral moves.
