The Dallas Cowboys thumped the Minnesota Vikings, 40-3, on Sunday but it did not go off without some controversy.
With the Cowboys leading the Vikings, 20-3, Dak Prescott found CeeDee Lamb down the sideline. Lamb made the catch, putting the Cowboys in field goal territory. The team would go on to drill 60-yard field, or so they thought.
Officials waited until after the play to review the previous play, so that field goal did not count. Once the catch was reviewed, the call would stand, but the Cowboys had to kick the field goal again.
They would make that one as well.
Taking to Twitter, Tad Prescott blasted the refs for their controversial decision to overturn Brett Maher’s 60-yard field goal attempt to review a previous play.
“Are you serious? The refs don’t do this to any other team in the NFL. Once the ball is snapped, the last play is over. Like WTF,” Prescott wrote.

“Cowboys kick a 60 yd fg. Replay signals dwn we want to review Lambs catch. Didn’t replay Bills drop last week .That’s some bulljive,” Shannon Sharpe tweeted.
Sunday’s 40-3 demolition of the one-loss Vikings was a statement win, especially when you consider that the Philadelphia Eagles struggled to get past a mediocre Colts team in Week 11 and the Giants were embarrassed at home by the Detroit Lions.
The Dallas Cowboys are not only good, but they are also a true Super Bowl contender and no amount of hate will stop that.
Their record may not prove it, but the Cowboys may be the best team in the NFC. They just have to prove it come playoff time, because we’ve seen this story before.
