Dak Prescott is keeping an eye on the quarterback market that just got elevated after Jalen Hurts came to an agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Appearing on The Adam Schefter Podcast, the Dallas Cowboys star quarterback was asked about Lamar Jackson’s situation with the Baltimore Ravens following Hurts’ new deal.
“I support those guys getting their money,” the two-time Pro Bowler said. “Hopefully he’s next, and he tops Jalen.”
Hurts became the highest-paid player in the NFL by average annual salary with his five-year, $255 million extension with the Eagles.
Jackson, on the other hand, has been embroiled in a contract standoff with the Ravens for the past year. Last month, he made it clear that he requested a trade on March 2 because the team “has not been interested in meeting my value” in contract talks. However, days later, they would slap him with the non-exclusive franchise tag.
It’s unclear exactly what Jackson wants in a long-term contract and what the Ravens have offered him.

He did, however, respond to a report that he turned down a deal worth $200 million guaranteed in September. He tweeted there was an offer of $133 million fully guaranteed over three years.
Prescott landed a 4-year, $160 million deal with $95 million guaranteed. he sustained a terrible injury that could have ruined his chances of getting a big deal. Prescott has two years remaining on the four-year, $160 million deal he signed in March 2021.
The 2019 NFL MVP is still fighting for what he deserves, but it seems the Ravens and every other team have no interest in signing him to a fully guaranteed deal, which has been rumored as what he wants after Deshaun Watson received it from the Cleveland Browns last offseason following his trade from the Houston Texans.
