Dak Prescott took a surprising shot at Jerry Jones that suggests he’s sick and tired of the Dallas Cowboys owner blabbing to the media.
Jones does have a knack for making declarations he has no intention of acting on, and it appears it’s gotten old for Dak as the QB has revealed he doesn’t pay attention to anything he has to say to the press about the team.
Jones spoke to reporters about the quarterback’s contract negotiations earlier this week, claiming the lack of traction on the deal has more to do with the organization than with Prescott.
“Dak’s situation right now for me, from my mirror, has more to do with our situation than it does with the merits of Dak Prescott being the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys,” he said.
The QB responded to the comments after practice on Thursday and made his position on Jones extremely clear.
“Yeah, I understand that. That’s the business and the nature of this game that we play,” he said, per ESPN’s Todd Archer. “I mean, I stopped, honestly, listening to things that he says to the media a long time ago. Doesn’t really hold weight with me.”

Dak Prescott Wants Money To Match His Production
Prescott seems to think Jones talks just for the sake of it, which is the view of most Cowboys fans, and he’s done listening to him.
The 31-year-old is entering the final year of his contract with Dallas and will be a free agent at the end of next season if the parties can’t agree on an extension.
He is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, having led the league in touchdown passes with 36 and throwing for 4,516 yards and nine interceptions en route to his third career Pro Bowl.
Dak Prescott is keen on getting paid like one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and isn’t at all pleased with Jerry Jones dragging his feet.
