If there one position that is the most polarizing and important to any team, it is the QB position.
Any team that puts out a hype video for anything regarding their team will most certainly have their starting QB front and center. The Dallas Cowboys did not.
The team released a hype video for the upcoming 2021 season, and not one of those highlights featured Dak Prescott. The Cowboys’ quarterback managed to play five games during the 2020 season, so he certainly has plenty of footage to use, yet players like DeMarcus Lawrence, CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper were among the only Cowboys players in the 32-second video.
“This was simply an oversight that should have been caught and corrected by us. Anyone who’s making it seem like Cowboys’ decision makers use social media videos to make statements doesn’t understand or take the time to understand how it all works. Trust me, there’s no story here,” the team’s senior director of media & programming, Derek Eagleton, tweeted.
It was an interesting oversight for a team that is going through another offseason where they have to figure out a long-term deal with their franchise QB.
