Less than a week ago, Josh Norman made sure reporters knew that he was less than impressed by Dak Prescott’s big Week 1 performance against the Giants.
“You stand back there in the pocket all day and go through your first, second and third reads and come back to your first one, OK, cool. Anybody can do that,” Norman said, via the Associated Press. “You could throw the ball if that’s the case.”
The Washington Redskins cornerback basically set himself up for failure with those comments, but he was completely roasted all game long by Dak Prescott.
After an early interception, Prescott completed all but two of his passes and threw touchdown passes to Devin Smith, Jason Witten and Amari Cooper. He also didn’t miss a pass in the 2nd half where he would tie a personal best with 18 straight completions. Prescott finished with 26-of-30 for 269 yards with three touchdowns and also ran for 60 yards, including a career-long 42-yarder.
Following the game, Prescott was asked about Norman’s disparaging comments about him just days before the game, and he decided to take the high road.
“I heard it, but I’m not gonna allow him to be a motivation to me. I got enough things that motivate me, that get me going. What somebody says good or bad about me definitely isn’t the case.”
