It was reported last week that quarterback Dak Prescott was offered a deal that would pay him $30 million annually. It was said to have been shut down by Dak and that he was looking for something a bit bigger.
Sources told NFL Network’s Jane Slater that the Dallas Cowboys gun-slinger was looking for a deal that paid $40M annually.
Prescott, who is a former 4th-round pick back in 2016, is entering the final year of his 4-year, $2.72M contract. He is set to make $720,000 in base salary in 2019.
In 16 games played in 2018, Dak racked up 3,885 passing yards, 22 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. He also rushed for 305 yards and another six touchdowns on the ground.
