A former New York Giants star had some harsh words about Dak Prescott.
During a recent appearance on The Carton Show, former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress stated that he doesn’t believe the Dallas Cowboys will win the Super Bowl with Dak Prescott as their quarterback.
“I believe he’s reached his ceiling as a quarterback with the Dallas Cowboys. They can win, but they won’t win a championship with him,” Burress said.
Host Craig Carton asked the former Giants receiver if he thought the Cowboys could win with Prescott, he said, “They can win, but they won’t win a championship with him.”
Burress is not alone in that thinking as Sports analyst Chris Simms released his rankings of all NFL quarterbacks, and he had Giants starter Daniel Jones two spots higher (No. 11) than Prescott (No. 13).

Prescott has led the Cowboys to the playoffs in four of his last seven seasons, including the last two years, however, he has a 2-4 record in the postseason, having never managed to bring his team beyond the Divisional round. In fact, the franchise as a whole has not been to the divisional round since the mid-90s.
Last season, he had 23 touchdowns with 15 interceptions with 2,860 yards, and a completion rating of 66.2 in 12 games. In 2021, he played 16 games, ending with 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions with a completion percentage of 68.8.
Prescott was perfect against the Tampa Bay Bucs in the Wild Card Roud, but his turnovers became a problem when they faced the 49ers, and the team got eliminated by San Francisco for the second year in a row.
