There may be a ton of peopel around the country that absolutely hate the Dallas Cowboys and love that they got eliminated from the playoffs, but you won’t find too many that actually has an issue with the man behind center as an overall person.
The Dallas Cowboys turned out to be just a one-and-done team in the playoffs, but the crushing home playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card did not stop Dak Prescott from showing what true leadership is all about.
The Cowboys QB was thinking about the players who don’t make that much money and wanted to make sure they were taking care of.
“Micah Parsons says that Dak Prescott came to the team and said “hey, everybody throw $500 in,” to give to practice squad players, because they don’t get the same check for playoff games. Parsons says that’s the kind of leader Prescott is.”
Dak Prescott completed 23 of 42 passes for 254 yards, one passing touchdown, four rushes for 27 yards, rushing touchdown and one interception in loss to the 49ers.
In the Cowboys’ first playoff game since 2019, they could have forced a rematch from the 2021 opener against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next weekend. It was not meant to be.
