As the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, everything you do is under an insane microscope.
In a game where the Cowboys’ defense was historically bad, Prescott saved Dallas from a season-altering loss on Thursday Night Football.
Prescott’s “Here we go” cadence was alive and well in primetime anytime he was under center. It really feels like he said it anytime he was ready to go before a play.
Prescott has been using it all season long, but the cadence is gaining traction on social media after millions of Americans tuned in on Thanksgiving, when the Cowboys thumped the Washington Commanders.
The NFL’s sideline microphones made it impossible to miss it on Thursday night when the team played the Seahawks.
Following the Cowboys’ win over the Seahawks, Prescott was asked about his cadence.
“We want to use the cadence to our ability,” Prescott explained. “The linemen wanted a little something before, I guess. For me, it’s to tell them stop the communicating, here we go.”

As for who came up with the cadence. Prescott said the coaching staff deserves the credit.
“I think it was the coaches earlier in the offseason. I was like, ‘If we’re starting off like this, it’s going to be a long offseason.'”
The “Here we go” cadence was a new addition this season, after former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and the Cowboys mutually parted ways this offseason. Head coach Mike McCarthy took over the offense and play-calling duties.
With the win on Thursday night, Prescott and Dallas have a puncher’s chance of flagging down the 10-1 Eagles in the NFC East.
