On the first day of the legal tampering period where teams could contact free agents and agree to deals, the Dallas Cowboys were making noise off the field for something else.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott filed a lawsuit against a woman over a $100 million extortion scheme.
The lawsuit alleges that a woman made false sexual assault claims against the Dallas Cowboys quarterback in an attempt to extort money.
Prescott was named one of five NFL MVP finalists from this past season.
He joined Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, San Fransico 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, and San Fransico 49ers running back Christian McCaffery as the MVP finalists.

Prescott finished the NFL regular season with 4,516 passing yards, a league-leading 36 passing touchdowns, and nine interceptions en route to a 12-5 record.
However, his tremendous numbers did not translate in the playoffs where it mattered most. Prescott struggled throughout the 48–32 loss, despite throwing for 400 yards and three touchdowns. In the first half, he tossed two interceptions, including a pick-six, as the Cowboys were down 20 heading into the break.
The Cowboys were heavy favorites heading into the game at AT&T Stadium, where they’d not lost all season long and made history by allowing the first-ever seven seed to win a playoff game. They were the only Wild Card team at home to lose.
