Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb have sounded off on the team’s recent offensive struggles, making it clear that they’re both on the same page as well.
The Cowboys are coming off a humiliating 42-10 road loss to the rival San Francisco 49ers on “Sunday Night Football.” Prescott had by far the worst game of his career, throwing for just 153 yards and a touchdown against three interceptions while taking three sacks.
For his standards, Lamb also had a relatively quiet game against the 49ers with four receptions for 49 yards. Of course, he remains Dallas’ top offensive playmaker with 27 catches for 358 yards and one touchdown in five games.
Per The Athletic’s Jon Machota, both Lamb and Prescott emphasized that they’re on the same page amid the offensive frustrations. Lamb stated that Prescott told him, “If you have a problem with anything, just come up to me and we’ll talk about it.”
The 30-year-old quarterback also admitted that though things are “frustrating” for them, he’ll “never lose confidence in” his top wideout:
“I mean, a frustrated player/person that feels like we all could’ve done better and feels like he can change the game, I understand it. I really do. So it’s in the sense of just communicating with him. … CeeDee is a guy that I’ll never lose confidence in and trust who he is and understand why he’s frustrated. But at the end of the day, he’s a leader. It’s about him leading other guys and picking other guys up and him just trying to make sure we’re all pushing our best. That’s where the frustration, we have to remove that. And he will. He’s a young player that’s growing by the day and he’ll only get better. He’ll be better because of that. Frustrating times.”

Prescott has been held to under 200 passing yards in three of his first five games, and he has only five touchdowns against four interceptions. In short, 3-2 feels like an underachievement thus far for a team that has the eighth-best scoring offense, the No. 7 scoring defense and a +51 point differential.
At any rate, the Cowboys must turn the page and get ready for another formidable opponent in the Los Angeles Chargers, who will host America’s team at SoFi Stadium this Sunday.
