Skip Bayless has been one of Dak Prescott’s biggest critics, and the latter’s older brother decided to say something about it.
Bayless is a well-known albeit heavily critical Cowboys super fan. This season, the veteran sports journalist has made it awfully clear that he’s not a believer in Prescott when it comes to big games, and that he thinks backup Cooper Rush should be the starter.
On Friday morning, Tad took to Twitter and ripped Bayless for his assessment of quarterbacks, adding that he’s “done with these shows.”
Bayless has made a career out of making statements that the vast majority of the sporting world would disagree with. His non-stop criticism of LeBron James, the best NBA player of this era, has been well-documented.
The Cowboys are 2-2 in games started by Prescott this season. In those contests, he has completed 63.8 percent of pass attempts for 856 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions.
With the 29-year-old was sidelined due to a hand injury, Rush took over the starting duties for five weeks. He won four of five starts to keep the Cowboys’ playoff hopes very much alive, and they’re poised to reach the postseason in back-to-back years for the first time since 2006-2007.
But it’s definitely hard to make a case that the Cowboys are a better team without Prescott. His 55-34-0 record as a starter speaks for itself, and he’s about to take them to the postseason for the fourth time in his seven-year career.

The Cowboys also didn’t have a single losing season in any of Prescott’s first five full seasons as a starter; he missed the final 11 games of 2020 with a gruesome ankle fracture. The Cowboys finished the season 6-10.
Prescott and the Cowboys are coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers in overtime. They’ll try to improve their record to 7-3 on the year when they host Kirk Cousins and the NFC North-leading Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
