Two weeks of Dallas dominance came to a stunning end in Week 3 to a team that the Cowboys should’ve handled easily. In a shocking upset, the Dallas Cowboys suffered a 28-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in week three.
Dak Prescott completed 25 of his 40 passes for 249 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while adding 24 yards on three carries.
That simply was not enough to defeat the winless Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys knew exactly who to blame for this loss: The media.
“It sucks … it’s humbling,” said Dak.
“Y’all put us on top of the world,” Dak said to the media after the stunning loss. “We knew who we are. … I’m sure the media got what it wanted.”
Somehow the media hyping them up is the reason they went out and lost to the Cardinals on the road.

Prescott didn’t play poorly but the Dallas offense struggled to score in the red zone. Matters weren’t helped by a Dallas defense that could not stop the Cardinals after looking like one of the top units in the league in the first two games of the season.
Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys looked like Super Bowl contenders after their first two games, but much like every other season, they came out and did something to remind you why this franchise hasn’t been to an NFC Championship game since the mid-90s.
The Cowboys will look to bounce back in Week 4 against the Patriots at home.
