Many detractors tend to point out Dak Prescott’s win-loss record and Dallas’ recent playoff history to downgrade him at the position, but Pro Football Focus countered with a wild statistic. Prescott is actually one of just two QBs since 2018 to throw at least 20 touchdown passes outside the red zone.
The other one on that list? Reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes.
Just last season, Prescott finished second last season to Mahomes with five or more TD tosses of 40-plus yards, per PFF.
While the Cowboys missed the playoffs last year, Prescott still turned in a career year as he racked up 4,902 passing yards and 30 TDs. He added a personal-best 388 completions, 8.2 yards-per-average, and 68 completions of 20-plus yards.

His 65.1-percent completion rate and 99.7 passer rating were the second-highest of his starting tenure.
After the team added CeeDee Lamb to the mix, his numbers are expected to get even better in 2020.
