The Chicago Bears were blown out by the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night, losing 30-13 in a game that never felt like it would ever be a contest.
With a record of 2–6, the Bears are still without their starting quarterback, Justin Fields, who is sidelined due to a thumb injury sustained in Week 6.
Undrafted rookie QB Tyson Bagent got his second career start and he did not look for a large majority of the game. He threw zero TD passes and suffered two interceptions in the loss.
NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth apparently saw some things he liked in the youngster which made him make a questionable comment about Fields and Bagent late in the game:

Rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent was 25-for-37 for 232 yards with two interceptions and a 62 passer rating Sunday against the Chargers. He scored a short rushing touchdown but finished with negative yards on four attempts.
His Cinderella story is all but over after the undrafted rookie threw a pair of interceptions in what was supposed to be a soft matchup on paper.
Collinsworth may like him as a player but to state what he did while millions were watching was downright ignorant.
Bagent figures to be the logical option to start against New Orleans next week so he has a chance to rebound.
