Cris Collinsworth raised eyebrows with his comment about Maria Taylor on Sunday.
Collinsworth joined partner Mike Tirico and the rest of NBC’s ‘Sunday Night Football’ crew as they called the Divisional Round matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams at the former’s Lincoln Financial Field.
With the playoffs underway, there’s no ‘SNF’ this week, so NBC got the aforementioned early fixture, with FOX having the rights for the previous NFC clash.

Maria Taylor was also on hand, and Collinsworth would grace her with a compliment, claiming the University of Georgia graduate was the best athlete of everyone from NBC on the field during the game.
“She’s the best athlete out of them all,” Collinsworth, a former NFL quarterback, declared.
Turns out he might not have been lying. Taylor, who stands at 6ft 2in, played volleyball at UGA and was an All-SEC athlete whilst there.
