The Dallas Cowboys are easily the most polarizing team in the NFL and every fan base besides their own will tune into their games in hopes of watching them lose. It’s not like the fans dislike the actual players, it’s just they want to see the team lose because of the fan base.
A team that can draw that much passion is one you are going to see on national TV a lot. Even if the team is not a contender, they will still have multiple Nationally televised games whether fans like it or not.
Sunday Night Football commentator Cris Collinsworth is revealing what we already likely knew in that if his network could, they would air a Dallas Cowboys game every single night just for the massive ratings.
“[I]f NBC had their choice we would do 17 Dallas Cowboys games,” said Sunday Night Football commentator Cris Collinsworth on the Dan Patrick Show.
“I’m not kidding. It doesn’t even matter what their record is, they could be 4-6 …. it’s insanity but it’s true. They draw the ratings, they get it done.”
As the 2023 NFL season approaches, the speculations about potential contenders are pouring in and of course, the Cowboys will be talked about. Make no mistake, the team is good and will likely be in the playoff mix, but not many think Dak Prescott has the tools to get the team over.

In fact, no quarterback since Troy Aikman has been able to get the team to the NFC Championship game let alone the Super Bowl since the md-90s.
Since Dak Prescott joined the team in 2016, the Cowboys have made the playoffs in a couple of years but their time usually ends by the divisional round.
