The NFL is known to attract a lot of interesting personalities. Take Antonio Brown, for example, as he is one of the best players to have almost had a case for the Hall of Fame. Now, Cris Collinsworth is entering his name into the conversation.
Collinsworth is currently a broadcaster. However, the 66-year-old does have a background in the game, as he played for the Bengals for eight seasons as a receiver. He earned over 6600 yards on just 417 receptions in the NFL while bringing in 36 scores.
He also had a few awards tacked on to his playing days, being named a three-time Second-team All-pro, three-time Pro Bowler, the All-rookie team, and was named to the Bengals 50th Anniversary team as well.
Since retirement, he has worked his way up the broadcasting ranks and is currently the voice most fans will recognize regarding NFL broadcasters. Collinsworth took over the role left by the legendary John Madden as the color commentator on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
Cris Collinsworth Makes Crazy Comments On High Schoolers
However, Collinsworth has not always been the most agile on the mic; there is ample evidence of this. One interview stands out above the rest, though, and it does not bode well for the former receiver.
During an interview, Collinsworth discussed why girls like him the most and mentioned money. He also pointed out that he walks around with $100 bills in his pocket because high school girls love it.

“14 to 18, big star with them,” he said before adding, “I like girls that aren’t too bright ’cause you can trick them a little bit.” He said so before mentioning that they mature after 18 and think, “I know there’s better than that.”
To think that Cris Collinsworth, of all people, said this, seemingly after being drafted to the NFL, is wild. While he does not have this frame of mind right now, it’s clear there was a lot of media training for the current voice of the NFL.
