Cris Collinsworth provided the good luck spark the Seattle Seahawks needed…or he made the San Francisco 49ers victims of the “announcer’s jinx”… depending on how you look at it.
Just before Brock Purdy took the snap on a 2nd-and-10 play in the third quarter of the 49ers-Seahawks game on Thursday night, Collinsworth stated that the Seattle defense needed to come up with a big play.
Lo and behold, the Seahawks answered the call, with Jordyn Brooks picking off Purdy and returning it to the end zone for six:
