While the Dallas Cowboys front office still figure out how to pay some top players on their teams, they also have to deal with players on the team getting arrested during the offseason.
Cowboys wide receiver Ventell Bryant found himself arrested on Wednesday morning on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence, according to Greg Auman of The Athletic.
“Bryant, 23, was being held in jail on $500 bond at 8 a.m. Wednesday morning. He was arrested by the Tampa Police Department at 2:43 a.m., and the arrest report shows he had a blood-alcohol level of .102 and .099, both above the level of .08 at which a driver in Florida is deemed too impaired to drive. He was booked at 4:45 a.m., identifying his occupation to police as “football player” and his employer as “Dallas Cowboys.”
Bryant primarily played special teams as a rookie with the Cowboys in 2019.
He had one catch last season, which was a 15-yard touchdown reception on Thanksgiving Day when the Cowboys lost to the Buffalo Bills.
Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Antwaun Woods was arrested in December during a traffic stop and charged with possession of marijuana.
