The Washington Commanders made a big move when they traded for Carson Wentz from the Indianapolis Colts.
Wentz returns right back to the NFC East as he spent his first few years as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Roughly an hour after the Wentz news broke, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs had a reaction that seemed to suggest that he cannot wait to face Wentz.
Diggs was a turnover machine for the Cowboys in 2021, finishing the season with a whopping 11 interceptions.
Last season for the Colts — Wentz only threw seven interceptions, but he did have 15 interceptions in his final season with the Eagles.
For the Commanders, they whiffed on trading for Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers stayed with the Packers, so they basically settled for Wentz.

At the end of the day, Trevon Diggs and the Cowboys should feel great about their chances in the 2022 season. The Commanders will likely find themselves in a similar position next offseason trying to replace Wentz, who is just a shell of himself since injuries derailed his career.
