Cowboys-Seahawks Game Made Incredible NFL History On ‘Thursday Night Football’

The Cowboys’ 41-35 win over the Seahawks on Thursday is a game-of-the-year candidate despite the ridiculous amount of penalties thrown by refs.

The Cowboys and Seahawks pulled off a rare feat on Thursday night, playing an entire game without a punt.

That made it the fifth game in NFL history to not feature a punt.

Thursday’s punt-free affair was the first in NFL history in which both teams scored 35-plus points.

Both punters for both teams made their paycheck without having to do a damn thing all night long.

The first game in NFL history without a punt was Bills-49ers in 1992 which featured Hall of Famers Jim Kelly and Steve Young. The Packers had two no-punt games in 2014, against the Bears and the Saints.

The Eagles-Chiefs regular-season game in 2021 also had no punts.

The no-punt feat has only happened once in the playoffs which came between the Chiefs and Colts in 2003.
