Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott used one word to sum up his team’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
The Cowboys came close to leaving Lincoln Financial Field with a win and were within a few yards of one, but they ultimately fell 28-23.
Prescott put in a remarkable performance, passing for 374 yards and three touchdowns on 29-of-44 passing, but the Eagles proved to be slightly better on a night when the Cowboys would have won easily had a few more plays gone their way.
Dak presented reporters with a one-word description after the loss.
“Sucks,” he said, per The Athletic’s John Machota.
The QB then pointed out that there are a lot of positives that can be taken from the loss.

“It sucks in the moment, but there’s a lot of good we can take,” he continued. “We’re doing things the right way. It’s just an inch here, an inch there. We gotta find a way to gain that.”
The loss leaves the Cowboys with a 5-3 record while the Eagles are now 8-1.
