The Detroit Lions gambled and seemed to get the 2-point conversion they needed for the win against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night.
That is when controversy kicked off.
However, officials would start talking to each other after they failed to register offensive lineman Taylor Decker reporting as eligible before he caught a pass. The Lions’ 2-point conversion attempt with 23 seconds left that went for a score to Decker was wiped out due to an illegal touching penalty.
It was a shocking turn of events as the Lions would go on to lose the game.
Some genius online would then take to social media and make a savage edit showing highlights from refs throughout the 2023 season:
The Lions had two shots at the 2-point conversion after the bad call, due to a Cowboys offsides penalty on the first attempt, but Goff threw incomplete on the last attempt and the Cowboys hung on to win 20-19.

The Lions already clinched their first division title in 30 years so it did not hurt them much to lose the game.
