Everybody has a right to due process and a fair trial, but there are a ton of Cowboys fans who do not want to wait out a murder investigation to see if one of their players is involved.
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph is being sought as a “person of interest” in connection with a Dallas area homicide that occurred last month. The Dallas Police Department is seeking an interview with Joseph, after he appeared to be in surveillance footage fighting with 20-year-old Cameron Ray, who ended up getting shot by a passing car that was also caught on video.
The footage featured a group of men that appeared to include Joseph entering and standing inside a nightclub, as well as a fight that occurred with the same group outside the establishment. Surveillance shows Ray and others walking to nearby cars, when a dark-colored SUV speeds by firing gunshots. Ray was hit and would die later at a local hospital.
Cowboys security is reviewing Joseph’s potential involvement in the altercation outside the nightclub and expects to be cooperating fully with investigators.
In the meantime, a bunch of members of his fan base would love to see him cut from the roster right now.
