The Cowboys settled their quarterback position for the next few years when Dak Prescott was signed to a four-year contract worth $160 million that includes $126 million in guaranteed money. The deal could be worth up to $164 million and includes $66 million to sign and $75 million in his first year. All are records.
Prescott played last season on the franchise tag, but his season ended prematurely when he fractured his ankle.
The moment the news came down that Dak got his deal, he surely embraced his family, but there was at least one fan who may have been more happier than he was.
One male fan was recorded finding out the news and crying his eyes out:
Prescott has earned two Pro Bowl invitations and was the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year in 2016.
In five games before his ankle injury, Prescott completed 68 percent of his passes for 1,856 yards with nine touchdowns and four interceptions, and had rushed for three scores.
