It’s been a rough offseason for the Cowboys, who traded wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Browns and had to watch as Randy Gregory backed out of a deal to sign with the Denver Broncos.
It has many in the fan base very upset.
In fact, some are even announcing that they are no longer fans.
The most viral reaction came from one person below who dropped a statement.
I’ve been a Dallas Cowboys fan for 30 years. In that time I’ve been blessed to witness Super Bowl wins, and also went through some terrible years with guys like Quincy Carter & Bobby Carpenter.
I’ve faithfully supported this team despite clearly being cursed by the Jimmy Johnson departure, and never once did I waiver. I also know I am not the only one.
Despite all of this, the short-comings & ineptitude of the front office (namely Stephen Jones) in recent years has caused me to question their commitment to winning.
Between terrible coaching hires, a lack of aggressiveness in Free Agency and willingly disrespecting its current players by offering below-market contracts, which consequently forces them to leave, it’s become clear that this team no longer has an interest in winning if it affects their bottom line.
Furthermore, the disgusting accusations of sexual misconduct that has been swept under the rug does not sit well with me as a human being.
It’s with great sadness that I am announcing I will no longer be a Dallas Cowboys fan, and I will be taking my talents to Los Angeles as a Chargers fan. Thank you for the memories and I look forward to the next chapter of my life.”
It just might be a tough 2022 season for the Dallas Cowboys if they fall short once again.
