The Dallas Cowboys are hoping to lock-up Dak Prescott for a longtime, but he and his agent are playing some serious hardball to get him the best contract ever.
According to a report from NFL Network’s Jane Slater, the franchise’s latest offer to their star QB is “above the (Jared) Goff deal.”
She was not given the details on how the contract would look in total money, length in years, annual salary, or guaranteed money.
Goff signed a 4-year, $134 million contract from the Rams that included $57 million guaranteed. That is $33.5 million per year.
If their contract is above that, then it leads you to believe it might be close to Russell Wilson’s contract, who signed for four years and $140 million, with $107 million guaranteed. That works out to $35 million guaranteed.
In addition to signing Dak Prescott, the team is also looking to lock up star WR Amari Cooper.
