The Baltimore Ravens’ drastic changes on offense haven’t produced the promising results that they expected.
Offensive coordinator Greg Roman left the team and was replaced by Todd Monken. The Ravens signed veteran wideouts Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor and used their first-round pick on Zay Flowers.
Through five games, however, the Ravens’ sit 17th in points (21.8) and 26th in passing yards (189.0) per game. At this point, it’s clear that they need a true WR1 to bolster the inconsistent passing game.
A potential target for the Ravens is Denver Broncos’ star wideout Courtland Sutton. With the Broncos already looking poised for a top-five draft selection in April, GM George Paton would be wise to consider dealing some of his top assets for draft picks.
DeCosta should offer the Broncos a 2024 third-round pick plus a 2025 fifth-rounder in exchange for Sutton. It’s a fair deal for a potential game-changing albeit inconsistent wideout who’s signed through the 2025 season.
Sutton had a career year in 2019 with 72 catches for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns. He got close to that star-like form again last year, recording 829 yards on the league’s worst offense in 15 games played.

Sutton is one of the game’s top deep threats, double-digit yards per catch in all six of his NFL seasons to date. His game-changing speed would go hand-in-hand with Jackson’s ability to extend plays with his legs.
The trade makes perfect sense for all three parties. Only time will tell, however, if the Broncos end up trading Sutton, and if the Ravens end up being the lucky winner of the sweepstakes.
