How Cooper Kupp Met His Wife
She first met Cooper Kupp in May of 2012. According to the couple it was at a track and field event in high school. The young athletes hit it off right away.
Kupp says he planned to marry Anna as soon as he saw her. He asked for her number and they became longtime friends.
College Years
Originally attending the University of Arkansas, Anna transferred to Cooper’s location at Eastern Washington University. The move forced her to sacrifice two years of course credits that were not transferable. But to be reunited with each other, she decided it was worth it.
She studied communications, specifically majoring in Public Relations. She also participated in the track and field programs while at university.
They got married during their sophomore year at Eastern Washington University.
The two were always seen together outside of their activities. Cooper says that they would work out together and Anna would even sit in the locker room with him and do homework while he would watch film.
She would make goodie bags to leave for him and his teammates in their lockers. His teammates say she was a positive force in his life, pushing him to reach a high standard. She helped him with exercising and nutrition whenever she could.
Working
Alongside her studies and her athletics, Cooper Kupp’s wife worked a full-time job that supported both herself and Cooper.
Kupp tried to make ends meet himself by working a landscaping job in between going to school and practice. Working a physical job while trying to practice left him tired and got in the way of football growth.
He knew he needed to focus his energy all on football if he was to become a professional. To make this happen Anna paid all of the bills. She worked at a restaurant near the college for her first job.
Anna opened and closed the restaurant, which served teriyaki-style dishes. She did all kinds of things for the restaurant, bouncing between the front and back of the house. Her tough work ethic led to her being promoted to store manager for the restaurant.
She worked as a youth track coach as well. In this role, she coached and taught children. She planned and facilitated practices and meet-ups between different teams.
Kupp frequently appreciates her hard work during this time in interviews and on social media as well as his website.
He acknowledges that he would not be where he is today without her. They agree that she allowed him to focus on football and inspired him to reach his goals. She humbly speaks about their college years saying it has been so special to watch him grow his skill and craft.
Life After the NFL
Thanks in part to her encouragement, Kupp has been able to have a monumental career with the LA Rams, racking up some impressive accomplishments.
The star wideout had a monster 2021 season, recording 145 catches, 1,947 yards, and 16 touchdowns. He led the league in all three categories, making him the fourth player to do so since 1970.
Cooper Kupp’s wife has over 40,000 followers on Instagram, where she posts snapshots into the couple’s lives. She is frequently seen cheering Cooper on from the stands during his football games.
When she is not following him around the country, she lives in Cheney, Washington. She does pamper herself and supports local businesses when she can. Anna gets her eyelashes done at Cosmetic Artistry in her hometown of Washington.
She is now building her career as a public relations specialist in the sporting industry. She is working to manage the reputations of players and their team brands.
The couple also has an apparel line they share. The line is heavily influenced by their faith and Cooper’s football career.
They have two sons. Their first son, Cooper Jameson Kupp, was born in 2018. Their second, Cypress Stellar Kupp was born in 2021.
