Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has reportedly suffered an injury setback, with the team’s opener vs. the Seattle Seahawks fast approaching.
Kupp missed the second half of last season due to an ankle injury and it was hoped he would be ready to go in 2023. However, the 2021 Pro Bowler sustained a hamstring injury during a one-on-one drill in practice at the beginning of August.
The 30-year-old was forced off the field on the day but head coach Sean McVay didn’t appear to be worried.
NFL reporter Ari Meirov is now reporting that the wideout’s recovery isn’t coming along as expected, with McVay having revealed his status is day-to-day.
Kupp has been one of the best receivers in the NFL over the past four years and helped the Rams win a Super Bowl last year. He recorded 75 receptions for 812 yards in nine games last season before missing the remaining eight fixtures as a result of his ankle problem.
