On Monday, former Houston Roughnecks quarterback P.J. Walker effectively became the first player in the XFL to get a deal from the NFL when he headed to the Carolina Panthers.
Only thing that remained was him passing his physical.
Less than 24 hours later, he did just that and officially signed his deal. According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle — Walker receives a two-year contract worth $1.5656 million from the Panthers.
The 25-year-old was easily the best QB in the XFL as he led the Roughnecks to a 5-0 record before the league had to shut its doors on the season due to the coronavirus.
