Kirk Cousins get paid way too much to make mistakes like this.
In the fourth quarter of their game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Minnesota Vikings were in desperate need of a touchdown. And they were only a few yards away from getting one, facing a 4th & goal from the San Fran 3-yard line.
QB Kirk Cousins came out and lined up…Only problem was he wasn’t under center. Instead, he was under the right guard, who obviously wasn’t going to snap him the ball. Running back Alexander Mattison tried to rush in and tell Cousins he was under the wrong lineman, but with the play clock ticking down, the Vikings were forced to call a timeout.
The Vikings would ultimately fail to convert on the fourth down play, turning the ball over on downs.
The Niners then went on a seven minute drive of their own, which ended in a missed field goal. But it was still enough to melt most of the clock, as the defense got one final stop to secure the 34-26 victory.
