Over the weekend, Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson was shot in an attempted robbery or carjacking in Washington, D.C.
“We have been made aware that Brian Robinson, Jr. was the victim of an attempted robbery or carjacking in Washington, D.C,” the team wrote in an official statement. “He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is currently being treated at the hospital, where Team officials are on-site with him. We ask that you please respect Brian’s privacy at this time.”
The 23-year-old was hospitalized after at least two bullets struck his lower body. We now know exactly where he got shot.
Robinson, a third-round pick out of Alabama in this year’s NFL Draft, would soon take to his Instagram story and respond to the well wishes from everybody.
The shooting reportedly happened at the 1000 block of H St., and police are looking for two suspects who fled the scene. A firearm was also recovered at the scene.

In his first preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, he had 26 yards on six carries with a touchdown while also catching both of his targets for 15 yards.
In his fifth-year senior year, Robinson rushed for 1,343 yards with 16 total touchdowns.
