Commanders Fans Were So Pissed At Carson Wentz That They Actually Started “Heinicke” Chants While One Of Their Players Was Down With An Injury (VIDEOS)

For the second time this season, Commanders fans have spoken, but this was an embarrassing way that they decided to do it.

Fans on Sunday could be heard chanting for quarterback Taylor Heinicke after he was benched earlier in the week for Carson Wentz. Wentz threw two interceptions early, which became part of a full meltdown by the team in a do-or-die game.

Those fans loudly chanted “Heinicke” as players on the team tried to quiet them down while defensive tackle Jonathan Allen lay on the field with a knee injury.

Commanders lost the game 24-10 to the Cleveland Browns.

The Packers defeated the Vikings in a late game Sunday, meaning Washington is officially eliminated from postseason contention.

All is not lost as they can play spoiler next week if they defeat the Philadelphia Eagles. The team has lost two-straight games, so another loss at FedEx Field means the Dallas Cowboys can steal the NFC East title from Philly.

It looks like Wentz will remain the starter for the final game of the year.
