The duo that is T.Y. Hilton and Andrew Luck have been one of the more productive in recent NFL seasons. Just ask the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Those teams no longer have to worry about that duo in the AFC South after Andrew Luck suddenly retired on Saturday.
Hilton, who like Luck was taken by Indianapolis in the 2012 NFL Draft, posted a heartfelt message for his quarterback on Twitter.
“Every time i think about it, Tears start to flow. No one understands you like i do. Our bond is one of a kind. I’ve decided to dedicate my season to my BEST FRIEND. I Love You 12,” he wrote.
Luck even stated himself that throwing the ball to Hilton was one of the main reasons he kept trying to push through injuries in recent years.
When Luck was unable to play in 2017, Hilton’s production suffered mightily as he totaled just 966 receiving yards, his lowest mark since his rookie season.
