Darius Leonard has never been shy about speaking his thoughts and feelings out about any subject, so he decided to dive head first into the controversy surrounding Deshaun Watson.
The Indianapolis Colts linebacker took to Twitter and called out ESPN for their lack of coverage on Chad Wheeler as opposed to how they are covering the cases against the Houston Texans quarterback.
“It’s crazy that people bash Watson with no evidence but nobody want to say anything about Chad Wheeler who tried to kill his girlfriend!
I’m just saying now, D Wat got killed with no proof but this guy who tried to put his girlfriend underground @espn or any other outlets was (quiet emoji)”
Ryan Clark responded:
“I have heard the reporting on Deshaun, & there should have been more coverage on Wheeler, myself included. Regardless of him being a no name player. We should have protected women. I will not say a word about Watson until I have facts, but it’s going to be reported. He’s a star”

“Which is true, we gotta protect women at all cost! But my thing is man we gotta treat everyone the same way! Big name or not! Chad was wrong with proof and nobody said anything, d wat people ready to kill him with no proof! If he’s wrong he’s wrong no matterwhat! Just be the same”
The former Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman was arrested for counts of first-degree domestic violence assault, domestic violence unlawful imprisonment and resisting arrest.
His anger reportedly came after his girlfriend refused to bow to him, so he decided to choke her until she went unconscious. His ex, Alleah Taylor, regained consciousness only to find Wheeler surprised she was alive. “Wow you’re alive?” was his reaction.
The number of lawsuits against Watson have now reached 20, but they are all civil cases. That still won’t stop the NFL from taking him off the field until everything is resolved, as they’ve shown to do so in the past.
