It’s not often we see refs getting hurt during games, but it happened today.
During a long run by the Colts against the Jags on Sunday, a ref got ran over by Indy running back Jonathan Taylor, causing him to smack his head hard on the ground.
Many players came over to help, and eventually that ref would make his way towards the blue medical tent.
This is just another reminder of how quickly things move at field-level. No one is safe on a football field. Not even the refs.
The good news is field judge Anthony Jeffries was able to get back to his feet. Good on the NFL for removing him from the game to evaluate him for a head injury, even though it looked like Jeffries escaped the nasty collision unscathed.
