Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest has once again became a major topic of discussion in the wake of George Floyd being murdered at the hands of police in Minneapolis.
Now, the former NFL quarterback’s mother is sending a strong message about her son.
Teresa Kaepernick, Colin’s adoptive mother, called out Melania Trump on Twitter after she called for the violent protests in downtown Minneapolis to come to an end.
Teresa reminded her that Donald Trump and others criticized Colin for peacefully protesting by kneeling during the national anthem.
“The man who peacefully protested against systemic racism and police brutality was called a “Son of a Bitch” by your idiot husband and lost his job. Let’s not focus on peace and prayers, let’s focus on change!”
Protests and riots have erupted in Minneapolis since the incident, with several buildings having been set on fire.
