Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab, was piping hot mad when she took to Twitter and chastised the NFL for listing the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback as “retired” on the league’s official website.
Diab also tagged commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFLPA on Twitter for “lying” about Kaepernick’s status.
After major backlash, the website has since changed the “retired” tag to “UFA,” undrafted free agent.
Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since 2016 when he became a major talking point around the country for kneeling during the National Anthem to protest against social injustice and police brutality.
His last season saw him complete 59.2 percent of his passes that season for the 49ers, tallying 2,241 yards with 16 touchdowns and four interceptions in 12 games.
It was back in 2012 when he led the 49ers to the Super Bowl that resulted in a 34-31 lost to the Baltimore Ravens.
