Over the weekend, the shocking news came down when Andrew Luck suddenly retired from the league at age 29 as he had grown tired of dealing with being in constant pain year after year.
If Jacoby Brissett doesn’t work out, much like ti didn’t in 2017 when Luck couldn’t play, Colin Kaepernick is still out there waiting for a phone call.
According to TMZ Sports, the 31-year-old quarterback was spotted working out at a gym in New York City moments after Saturday night’s news broke that Andrew Luck was retiring.
The former 49ers star has been “hitting the gym daily and working out with a quarterbacks coach regularly.”
“The quarterback hit up a gym in New York City on Sunday to get his pump on … just in case that phone rings from an NFL team. Kaepernick has made it clear to friends and fans that he wants to keep playing football — and recently debuted a counter on his social media pages showing the days he’s been out of work.”
