Colin Kaepernick is set to enter the NFL world again, but not in the way that you are thinking.
The controversial quarterback is a playable character among other big names like Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes in Wild Card Football, a seven-on-seven style video game, that was officially released this week.
Kaepernick explained why he wanted to be part of Wild Card Football.
“I love the game of football, and I love being part of any effort to get more people interested in it,” Kaepernick said. “Wild Card Football brings a fresh twist to the sport we all know and love. From the style to the game’s unique blend of strategy and its arcade feel–Wild Card is awesome. It’s not just about replicating the traditional football experience; it’s about taking the game to new heights and making it accessible and fun for everyone.”

Kaepernick is encouraging gamers to give Wild Card Football a try on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S.
According to Adam Wells with Bleacher Report, the Wild Card Football release will be the first time Kaepernick has been featured in a video game since he was in Madden 22.
Just recently, Kaepernick penned a letter to the New York Jets asking them to take him on as a practice squad quarterback after Aaron Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury in Week 1. The Jets are unlikely to take him on his offer and just roll with Zach Wilson for the remainder of the rest of the year.
