Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick accused the United States of terrorism following the deaths of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi militia leader Mahdi al Muhandis.
Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds military force, was killed Friday, with President Donald Trump stating the move was made to prevent a war.
Kaepernick accused the USA of targeting minorities “at home and abroad.”
“There is nothing new about American terrorist attacks against Black and Brown people for the expansion of American imperialism.”
The Defense Department blamed Soleimani for the deaths of hundreds of Americans and they also said he was behind recent attacks on coalition bases in the Middle East, including one on Dec. 27 that killed an American defense contractor.
“Suleimani was plotting imminent and sinister attacks on American diplomats and military personnel, but we caught him in the act and terminated him,” Trump said to reporters during an interview in West Palm Beach, Fla. “We took action last night to stop a war, we did not take action to start a war.”

Kaepernick wasn’t finished as he continued to his next tweet, saying, “America has always sanctioned and besieged Black and Brown bodies both at home and abroad. America militarism is the weapon wielded by American imperialism, to enforce its policing and plundering of the non white world.”
Trump’s order to kill Qasem Soleimani has gotten mixed reactions from everybody around the country, with most viewing as a decision that should’ve happen, but are worried about the ramifications of what will happen when Iran retaliates.
Either way, it’s clear where Kaepernick stands on this one and it’s clearly not behind the White House.
