Last week, Jay-Z caused a lot of controversy when he entered into a partnership with the National Football League. Things got a bit worse when addressed his critics by suggesting the kneeling protest was a necessary part to move the conversation to this point but now it was time to implement different actions in order to bring meaningful reform.
Kaepernick didn’t seem to like those comments.
On Sunday, the former 49ers quarterback posted a photo that included that Eric Reid, Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson and his words appeared to be taking a swipe at the hip-hop mogul and his recent comments about moving on from the kneeling.
“My Brothers @e_reid35 @kstills @ithinkisee12 continue to fight for the people, even in the face of death threats. They have never moved past the people and continue to put their beliefs into action. Stay strong Brothers!!”
That post came just days after he put this tweet out:

Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa, also had something to say about Jay:
Kaepernick is widely believed to be blackballed by NFL executives for kneeling during the national anthem during the 2016 season. He has remained a free agent ever since he opted out of his contract with the 49ers.
He eventually settled a collusion grievance with the NFL in February 2019 and was required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
