Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab, went into throwback mode this week with her latest post on Instagram.
In honor of the 2023 Met Gala, Nessa took to Instagram and shared a video showing herself getting ready for the same event in 2019, which she and Colin Kaepernick attended.
“It’s the first Monday of May aka Met Gala day! Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the Met Gala in 2019,” she wrote. “Colin and I went and had a ball. I don’t know if you could tell how stressed I was from these photos, but literally, my dress was being sewn on me right up until the moment we stepped out the door. Lol And on top of that, I had press on nails, and had to keep looking at the ground during the Gala to see if I dropped one. Lmaoooooo it was such a fun, chaotic day literally all we could do was laugh.”
Here’s how some of the comments looked:
“One of my favorite couples,” a follower said.
Another follower replied, “Gorgeous!”

“It’s her! It’s y’all,” a third follower commented.
Kaepernick played for the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2016, leading the team to a Super Bowl appearance in 2013.
Colin Kaepernick gained national attention for kneeling during the national anthem before NFL games in 2016 as a protest against racial injustice and police brutality.
After becoming a free agent in 2017, Kaepernick went unsigned by any NFL team, which many believed was due to his protests. He filed a grievance against the NFL, alleging that the league colluded to keep him out of the game, but the case was settled out of court in 2019.
He has mentioned recently about trying to get back in the league, but that time has surely passed as of now.
