Colin Kaepernick is stepping up in a huge way fro the people who are most in need during the coronavirus pandemic that has gripped the entire Globe.
The former San Francisco 49ers QB took to social media and announced he was launching a relief fund for minorities.
“Black and brown communities are being disproportionately devastated by COVID-19 because of hundreds of years of structural racism,” Kap said in a video Thursday.
“That’s why we’ve established the Know Your Rights Camp COVID-19 Fund to help address these issues.”
He also doanted $100K to the Know Your Rights Camp COVID-19 Relief Fund.

Kaepernick stated that the money raised will “go toward buying food from local restaurants to distribute throughout communities, help pay essential living costs for those who can’t afford it and providing information on Black and Brown communities to keep everyone in the loop on the pandemic.,” according to TMZ.
Aside from that, it was reported last week that Kaepernick would be reaching out to the New York Jets about a job opportunity after a fake report surfaced of him signing with the team.
The 32-year-old has been out of the NFL since the end of the 2016 season, during which he made headlines for kneeling during national anthem as a protest against racial injustice and police violence.
